About the GMAT
The GMAT is a standardized, computer-adaptive test (CAT) consisting of three sections, with a break between each:
- Analytical Writing
- Quantitative
- Verbal

What the GMAT tests:
- Basic academic knowledge of grammar, maths, reasoning, and argument formation
- Problem-solving skills
- Test-taking abilities including pacing, guessing strategies, working under pressure and stamina
What the GMAT does NOT test:
- Specific knowledge or experience of business,
- sophisticated statistical analysis techniques or financial knowledge
- knowledge of any other specific subject area.
