Taking the GMAT (more)
How do I register?
You can sign up for the GMAT either on-line or by post. Within the US, you can also sign up by calling 1-800-GMAT-NOW. If you have a tight schedule, try to register well in advance as popular days and times often fill up quickly
Register now
You will need to choose a test centre at the time of registration. If you plan to take the test outside the US, you need to find out whether there is a Permanent test centre in your vicinity. The only Permanent test centre in the UK is in London.
Check the international centres list for details
How much does the GMAT cost?
The GMAT currently costs US $250.00, which is about £135.00. In most cases you'll need a major credit card to pay. You can designate up to 5 business schools to receive your score, more than that will cost you US$28.00 per school.

How many times can I take the GMAT?
You may take the GMAT only once per calendar month and no more than five times within any 12-month period. The re-test policy applies even if you cancel your scores. Schools you designate as score recipients will receive your scores from the three most recent test dates within the last five years. Even if your score goes down after a retake, most schools will use the highest score on the score report. However, a drop in score could be seen as a negative factor in your application if you are on the borderline of acceptance, so it is advisable to take the test only if you feel confident that you can improve on your best score to date.
